# Michelin Collection TRX GT ## The Pioneering Low Profile Tyre Introduced in 1975, the Michelin TRX revolutionized tyre design as the first low profile tyre to integrate seamlessly with a specially engineered rim. This synergy created a unified tyre and wheel system, enhancing overall performance and safety. The innovative 'Tension Répartie' (distributed tension) construction ensures even stress distribution across the casing. This results in improved directional stability and superior handling, especially during high-performance driving and cornering. Originally proven in elite motorsports—including Formula 1 with Renault and Alain Prost, and the World Rally Championship on legendary cars like the Audi Quattro and Peugeot 205 Turbo 16—the TRX set new standards for control and responsiveness. ## Key Benefits - **Exceptional grip** from optimized pressure distribution in the contact area - **Enhanced comfort** due to a larger, more flexible sidewall zone - **Distinctive appearance** with a sculpted tread and modern tyre/rim integration This design answers the need for improved safety and dynamic performance, making it a milestone in tyre innovation..
