# Fronway Icepower 868 – Advanced Winter Tire for Optimal Snow and Ice Performance ## Asymmetric Tread Design for Balanced Winter Handling The Fronway Icepower 868 features an asymmetric pattern engineered to deliver superior control in winter conditions. The outer tread is designed with a dense block layout for enhanced handling and cornering stability, while the inner side incorporates wide grooves that efficiently channel water, slush, and snow to reduce hydroplaning and improve grip on wet surfaces. ## Enhanced Snow Traction with Zigzag Grooves Equipped with zigzag longitudinal grooves on both sides, this tire creates a biting edge effect that actively compresses and ejects snow, improving forward motion and stability on snowy roads. The strategic placement of 3 to 4 wide grooves ensures effective evacuation of snow, water, and mud, while continuous center ribs enhance steering response and straight-line tracking. ## Intelligent Sipe Distribution for All-Winter Grip The 3D zigzag sipe technology is optimized across the tread: higher sipe density on the inner section maximizes grip on snow and ice, while a slightly lower density on the outer area supports responsive handling. This balanced siping layout maintains block rigidity for better wear and control. ## Cold-Weather Rubber Compound with Silica A silica-enhanced compound allows the tire to remain flexible and adhesive even in extreme cold—down to -40°C. This ensures consistent road contact, improved braking on icy surfaces, and greater overall safety during winter driving, especially in wet or snowy conditions..
